Nepali businessmen in Guangzhou

A 30-member Nepali business delegation is attending the sixth meeting of the Nepal-China Non-governmental Cooperation Forum in Guangzhou this week to discuss trade and investment. The delegation is led by Binod Bahadur Shrestha of FNCCI. The meeting takes place each year alternatively in Nepal and China and is aimed at extending bilateral trade and investment. Shrestha said Nepal will seek joint ventures in hydropower production, utilisation of human resources, processing of medicinal herbs and use of appropriate agricultural technology. Nepal presently has an annual trade deficit of $150 million with China. Nepal would try to improve air services and banking so it can atract more Chinese tourists, he said.
