Nepal inducted six ministers and two state ministers making the number of ministers in the cabinet 30. The prior cabinet had 16 ministers and six state ministers.
Two ministers are from the MJF, three from TMLP and one from RPP and two state ministers are from TMLP and CPN ML.
However the cabinet is yet to take final shape as the fringe parties have not yet submitted ministers' names allotted for them.
PM administered the oath of office and secrecy to the five new ministers at president's offce Shital Niwas amidst a ceremony presided over by President Ram Baran Yadav. Mahendra Prasad Yadav of TMLP, proposed minister for the Industries, refused to take the oath expressing his dissatisfaction over the ministerial portfolio assigned to him.
The coalition has become an alliance of six parties: UML, NC, MJF, CPN ML, TMLP and RPP. Sadbhawana and other minor parties also are to be accommodated in the cabinet. Sadbhawana has been criticising NC and UML for breaking the coalition culture in allocating the ministerial berths. ML leader CP Mainali has been assigned to allot
the ministerial berths from the fringe parties.
