Still contradicting themselves

After being ridiculed for his comments that he would launch a "revolt" if the Maoists lost elections, the party\'s chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal said in a statement on Saturday that the party was willing to accept any result.

Dahal also retracted his statement in which he claimed that international election observers were in Nepal to make sure his party lost in the polls. "We welcome elections observers from the UN, EU, and Carter Centre," he said.

However, on the same day, Maoist leader Baburam Bhattarai reiterated his chairman\'s earlier statements, saying the Maoists would capture power in Kathmandu if they lost in the polls. "We can seize power in ten minutes if we lose in elections," he said.
